Release of Bernat Vivancos’ OFFSTAGE, audiovisual by L’Auditori

2024-02-20T11:28:06+00:002022-02-28|

II-2022 / L’Auditori premieres OFFSTAGE, a new audiovisual project of in-depth interviews. In this first season OFFSTAGE focuses on the composers who premiere works this season at L’Auditori. Bernat Vivancos, Joan Magrané, Enric Palomar and Raquel García Tomás star in the first four chapters. Journalist Anna Guitart is the host of the interviews that reveal the most personal facets and artistic concerns of the most stimulating composers of the current scene.

In this first chapter we talk to Bernat Vivancos (Barcelona, 1973) from the Collsacabra, a natural landscape source of his inspiration. Composer of great luminosity and asceticism, the music by Vivancos is a synthesis of the vocal tradition of religious coinage and the current sonority. Deeply linked to the Escolania de Montserrat, the imprint of the experience in the monastery has marked a trajectory that has crystallized in a unique and unmistakable voice. Traces of vocal music come together in his production in search of vivid and splendid harmony, nature, the sound presence of faith or beauty. Concepts that sustain a particular musical world, powerfully human and bright, close and universal.
