II-2022 / “Cinc pregàries“, a new work for solo soprano, string orchestra, harp and percussions was created in the Palau de la Música Catalana with the soprano Núria Rial and the Barcelona Symphonic Orchestra. The new composition was premiered at the «Palau 100» Series on 19th February by Núria Rial, soprano, and the OBC Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Anna Maria Helsing.

VII-2021 / Thomas Adès, Cassandra Miller, Joan Magrané and Bernat Vivancos are the guest composers during the season 2021-22 in the Audtori of Barcelona. Several works will be performed and premiered during this season.

«The music of Bernat Vivancos (Barcelona, 1973), somewhere between luminescence and asceticism, reviews the vocal religious tradition as well as modern sounds. The composer, has very close ties to the Escolania de Montserrat. His time at the monastery has made a mark on his career, which started at the Conservatoire de Paris and included studying under the guidance of Lasse Thoresen in Oslo, and which resulted in the development of a unique and unmistakable voice. His works include traces of the modal music of various Western vocal traditions and the search for lively and resplendent, incorporeal harmonies. Nature, the sound presence of faith and, ultimately, beauty, are the backbones of a particular musical world, powerfully human and gleaming, close and universal. Throughout this coming season, eight of the author’s works – five of which will see their world premiere at L’Auditori – provide the opportunity to access to one of the most fascinating sound universes in existence today.»

V-2021 / «L’ametller» for children’s choir, 2 horns and harp, performed by Cor VEUS and conducted by Josep Vila Jover, has been selected for the Opening Ceremony of the World Peace Choral Festival. A total of 27 choirs from 25 countries will present music from around the world.

V-2021 / «My Lullaby» for solo violin and 8 pre-recorded violins, now on Spotify and Youtube-scrolling, performed by Jordi Prim, recorded in Sala Mompou at the headquarters of the SGAE in Catalonia (Barcelona).

V-2021 / In July 31th will be premiered in Internationale Fredener Musiktage (Deuchland) «Duo Seraphim», 45 minuts of Vivancos’ music with Núria Rial and Miriam Feuersinger, sopranos, les Cornets Noirs, Ensemble of viola da gamba and organ.

V-2021 / «Tros», by filmmaker Pau Calpe (Galápagos Media), is Bernat Vivancos’ first film music. With the voices of soprano Núria Rial as soloist, and with trio of sopranos Sara Sarroca, Brenda Sara & Irene Mas. TV3 co-production.

«Confiants», new orchestral work for Barcelona Symphony Orchestra – OBC in l’Auditori.
V-2022 / L’Auditori premiers the first orchestral work written and performed during lockdown.
The OBC performs ”Confiants” (Confident), the only work devised for a large orchestra that has been written, performed and premiered during the weeks of lockdown.
The video is a prelude to L’Auditori’s upcoming season, which will be presented on 5 June and will reveal part of the new image.
