World premiere of «Offertorium» by Barcelona Clarinet Players

V-2017 / On May 19th World premiere of «Offertorium» by Barcelona Clarinet Players (Manuel Martínez, clarinet; Javier Vilaplana, clarinet; Martí Guasteví, corno di bassetto and Alejandro Castillo, clarinet baix) in the Claustre Max Cahner of the Centre d’Art Santa Mònica, Barcelona. The concert program includes five World premieres with five musical works by the best Catalan composers of the current musical panorama.

IV-2017 / On April 29th Coro Austral, conducted by Margot McLaughlin performed «Le cri des bergers» and «Shubert’s Ave Maria» in St Augustine’s Catholic Church, Balmain, Sydney (Australia).

IV-2017 / World premiere of «O Vos Omnes» by Ensemble O Vos Omnes, concerts on tour: On April 6th on Barcelona, Reial Monestir de Santa Maria de Pedralbes On April 7th on La Sénia Church On May 6th on Tarragona, Sant Agusti Curch conducted by Xavier Pastrana.

III-2017 / Pope Francis offered an Audiance to conclude the Vatican Congress «Music and Church: Cult and Culture», where Vivancos gave a conference defending the contemporary liturgical music. Vivancos gave to the Pope two of his latest CDs: «Requiem» and «In Montibus Sanctis».

III-2017 / On July 3rd the concert for Kennedy’s Birth Centenary celebration will include the World Premiere of a new work, comissioned by Classical Movements. The work will be performed by Escolania de Montserrat conducted by Llorenç Castelló. The concert will take place in John F.Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. The new work will be about Peace.

III-2017 / On March 3rd Vivancos will participate in Vatican Congress «Musica e Chiesa: culto e cultura a 50 anni dalla Musicam Sacram», giving a lecture about «La promozione di musica contemporanea nella Chiesa: continuità di un patrimonio» #MusicaSacra. The congress will take in Rome during March 2nd – 4th and will conclude with an Audience of the Holly Father Pope Francis.

III-2017 / On March 8th Elektra Women’s Choir, conducted by Morna Edmundson, will permorm Nigra Sum in Vancouver (Canada).

I-2017 / On January 29th 2017 the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya – ESMUC celebrated its 15th aniversay with a concert in Auditori performed by the ESMUC Symphonic Orchestra & Lorenzo Ferrándiz, dir. The program pretended to cover the diversity of disciplines offered by ESMUC. Vivancos «Blau» represented the field of classic and contemporary composition.

I-2017 / On January 28th «Bubbles» was performed in Stockholm by Swedish Radio Choir, conducted by Josep Vila Casañas, in a concert devoted to Catalan contemporary music composers.

I-2017 / «Vocal Ice» and «El cant dels ocells» will be included in the next CD of Núria Rial and Symphonierorchester Basel Cello Octet, registered in Basel during January 2017.

XII-2016 / With today’s melody (number 366) the project of composing a melody every day during 2016 has been achieved!

XII-2016 / On Barcelona Cathedral Christmas Eve Mass the traditional «Cant de la Sibil·la» (El jorn del judici») was performed by the Cor Francesc Valls, directed by Pere Lluís Biosca.

World premiere of «Cançons nocturnes» performed by Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió and String Orchestra of Granollers

XII-2016 / «La nit de Bernat Vivancos», World premiere of «Cançons nocturnes», 12 compositions with text by Catalan poets and 12 clarinet interludes. Performed by Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió (Josep Vila i Jover, dir.), String Orchestra of Granollers (Corrado Bolsi, dir.), Teresa Noguerón, clarinet, and David Pintó, stage director. The concert was conducted by Edmon Colomer in the Teatre Auditori de Granollers.

XI-2016 / «Ave Maria Shubert/Vivancos» is included in the new CD of Escolania de Montserrat devoted to Spiritual Contemporary Music, edited by Institut Art i Espiritualitat Sean Scully. The CD includes also works by György Deák-Bárdos, Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Arvo Pärt.

VIII-2016 / Cambridge Voices (Ian de Massini, director) performed «Nigra Sum» on August 15th in St. Etienne-du-Mont, Paris (France). Later this month, on August 29th perfomed it in Ely Cathedral Lady Chapel, Cambridgeshire (England).

VIII-2016 / World premiere of «Obriu-me els llavis, Senyor» in St. Mary’s Cathedral of Sydney, performed by Bel a Cappella, Anthony Pasquill, dir.

I-2016 / 2016 New year’s resolution: composing «a melody a day». Will it be achieved?

IX-2015 / On september 20th Kazushi Ono conducts the opening season concert of Barcelona Symphony Orchestra [OBC] at the Sagrada Familia, including works by Mozart, Fauré, Vivancos and Takemitsu. The concerts starts with Vivancos’s Improvisation I (1999) performed by Juan de la Rubia, organist.

VIII-2015 / Juan de la Rubia, organist, will perform Improvisation I (1999) on tour in Europe during the summer: On August 14th in Maria Laach Abbey, Maria Laach (Germany) On August 16th in St. Wolfgang, Salzkammergut (Austria) On August 24th in Basílica de Montserrat, Montserrat (Catalonia).

VII-2015 / Coral Sant Jordi conducted by Lluís Vila performs the World Premiere of La Lumière du nord on July 11th in Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona, within the 50 Festival Internacional de cant coral de Barcelona Festival.

VII-2015 / Latvian Radio Choir conducted by Sigvards Klava performs the World Premiere of Les Béatitudes (2015) and Souffle ta bougie (2015) on July 22nd in the Church of Jesus, Riga (Latvia), within the “Ad Lucem” Festival.

VII-2015 / Oriol Romaní, clarinetist,  performs the World Premiere of «O Gloriosa Virginum Sublimis inter sidera» on July 30th in the small church Ermita de Sant Pau in Sant Pol de Mar (Spain) . This concert takes place within the   “Concerts d’estiu” Festival. The work is a commission by Ajuntament de Sant Pol de Mar.

V-2015 / Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès conducted by Rubén Gimeno performs the World Premiere of  «Aeternam» for String Orchestra on May 29th in Teatre La Faràndula, Sabadell (Spain) and on May 30th in Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona within the cycle of concerts «Simfònics al Palau».

V-2015 / Cor de Noies de l’Orfeó Català conducted by Pere Lluís Biosca performs «Cant del ocells» (2006) on May 17th in Auditori Badarres, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Spain); on May 23th in Palau de la Música, Barcelona (Spain) and on July 2nd in Ljubljana  (Slovenia) within the 27th International Festival Summer in Old Ljubljana Town.
